The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is a qualification for those working in or wanting to work in adult care settings in England. It develops knowledge and skills for roles such as a Senior or Lead Adult Care Worker and covers core topics like health and social care procedures, supporting individuals, and promoting well-being, while also allowing for specialization based on career path.
Aims and objectives
This qualification aims to:
• focus on the study of the adult care worker role in care settings
• offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge
• provide opportunities to acquire a number of practical and technical skills
The objectives of this qualification are to:
• build knowledge and skills to work in adult care in health and social care settings in England
• cover a wide range of areas allowing learners to tailor the qualification to meet their needs, interests, preferred progression paths and the context of their job role
Entry guidance This qualification is designed for those who wish to work or are already working in health and social care settings in England. Entry is at the discretion of the centre, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. However, learners should be aged 16 or above to undertake this qualification. There are no specific prior skills/knowledge a learner must have for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved a level 2 qualification.
